Now walking away from Penn through the court yard The Caucus Room (401 9th St. NW  DC) Want to dine with 'who is who' in DC, then this is the place. The feature here is Seafood and American cuisine. The place is owned by 52 members of the House and Senate, close to half Republican and half Democrat (enough said)
 
Moving by towards 8th Street at E we fine Teaism (400 8th St NW DC) An authentic tea house. The ritual of steeping and sharing a spot of tea is no longer just for well-dressed ladies.  Almost directly across the street from stand 
 
 
Café Atlántico  (405 8th St NW DC) A Nuevo Latino restaurant using ingredients of South and Central America, as well as Mexico and the Caribbean. It's tiered dinning rooms are visually stimulating.... Just up the block on 8th across E way back in a court yard sits one of downtown newest dining house.   $10 - $20   Step inside take an look around.
 
Poste – Moderne Brasserie  (555 8th Street NW DC)  In the new Hotel Monaco Washington. Modern American and  seasonal menu upscale dining in both the restaurant and an enclosed court yard. At the corner stands another new entry    $15 - $30
 
Zola  (800 F St NW DC) Artwork, Espionage and modern American cuisine an excellent portrayal to a restaurant  adjacent to the Spy Museum. Spy on the chief through  a one way  mirror in the back of each  booth.   $15 - $30
 
 

After a short walk pass the Hotel Monaco Washington we arrive back to our starting point 7th and F. Now let's take of up 7th street.  Legal Sea Food (704 7th St NW DC) Claiming to be a seafood restaurant anywhere in proximity to the Chesapeake Bay is a daunting task... With our proximity to the Bay we have a long traditions of  gooood seafood. Yet Legal Sea Food  New England roots are just what's needed to thrive in this region.  And right next door let stop at

Ruby Tuesdays  Familiarity is the name of the game here. Hey It Ruby's,  your all American restaurant, sports bar and all around hangout.  Hey how about a burger?

Fuddruckers (734 7th St NW DC)  The claim:'The World's Greatest Hamburgers', Now that might something in Kansas, but DC knows burgers (Ben Chill Bowl, Four Brothers (Alexandria), and the whole in the wall up the block). You be the judge.  

A few block back we had a tea house now America's coffeehouse Star Bucks... standing  on the corner of 7th and H Streets NW for your java enjoyment. A couple of doors  down H street more spicy. 

 Capital Q  (708 H St NW DC) A Texas Barbeque house. Here the hot sauce is 'Hot" so be careful. Capital Q has an exciting new concept. From their website see live picture from the club so you can see who their and how busy. I think that great. I hate to wait.
